Everyone is welcome at an Open class; those new to yoga, students who want to experience Iyengar yoga, regular students within the school as well as interstate and international visitors.
Open classes provide an alternative for students who travel regularly or for other reasons are unable to attend a Practitioner program. They provide an opportunity for students to deepen and diversify their practice. Students may also attend any of the Open classes in lieu of missed Practitioner program classes (maximum of two per term).
The teachers recognise the range of practice experience of the students attending and are able to respond to these needs through asana modification and the use of props.
These 90 minute classes run seven days a week. Tuesday and Thursday 9.30am Open classes offer a consistent sequence that is applied over both days. The Sunday afternoon sequence focuses on restorative asanas.
