Kylie is the Office Manager at Yoga Mandir and a trainee in Alan Goode's Preliminary Teacher Training Program. She began studying yoga at the Institute in 2011 and immediately knew that she had stumbled upon a practice that would change her life. In 2015 she completed the Sadhaka Program and began as a Led Practice Leader
After a lifetime of physical study, both as student and teacher, owning her own business and raising a young family, Kylie came to yoga looking for relief from physical pain. For over a decade she had been struggling with chronic and debilitating back pain, pain that she had assumed she would have to live with for the rest of her life. She entered the Institute through the Remedial Program and immediately began a home practice.
Over time Kylie has experienced the physical benefits of practicing yoga, but along the way she has found a practice that supports her both physically and emotionally, through all the challenges that life presents. Fear of the physical pain returning still motivates her to get onto her mat, but it is no longer what keeps her there. Kylie is currently in her third year of Teacher Training, she teaches within the Dynamic and Open Yogasana programs and looks forward to sharing her understanding of this journey with others.
